I learnt all about polyester and inspection ports, and also made a mast from bamboo (just keeping it real, you know.) Walvis sails pretty good, Although very unlike most other boats around here. Walvis is only about 90cm wide, has a lateen rig, and no hiking straps. Even in low winds still very fun to sail.
